Your first $100 with AdSense

A step-by-step plan for turning a few useful tools into a site that earns — with honest numbers, not promises.

Why $100? AdSense pays out once your balance reaches $100 — so this is the milestone where your site sends you its first real payment.

The math

Display ads pay per thousand page views. That rate is called RPM (revenue per mille), and it depends mostly on your topic and where your visitors are.

Monthly earnings ≈ page views ÷ 1,000 × RPM

Typical RPM ranges for tool pages, and roughly how many page views it takes to reach $100 at the middle of each range:

TopicTypical RPMViews for $100
💰 Money & finance$6–$18≈ 8,300
📈 Small business$5–$15≈ 10,000
🏠 Home & DIY$4–$12≈ 12,500
💪 Health & fitness$3–$10≈ 15,400
🚗 Cars & travel$3–$9≈ 16,700
🎓 Students & math$2–$6≈ 25,000
✨ Everyday tools$1.5–$6≈ 26,700
📅 Dates & time$1.5–$5≈ 30,800
🧰 Text & developer tools$1–$5≈ 33,300
📏 Unit converters$1–$4≈ 40,000
🎲 Fun & games$0.5–$3≈ 57,100

Example: 20 tools × 500 visits a month = 10,000 page views. In money & finance that's roughly $60–$180 a month; in fun & games, closer to $5–$30. Same effort, very different result — so choose your topic on purpose.

These are typical ranges, not guarantees. Real RPMs vary with season, ad layout and your visitors' countries.

The plan

  1. Pick a topic you can cover well Day 1

Choose one area with steady search demand and a decent RPM — money, health, home or business tools tend to earn more than games. Stick to it: ten tools on one topic beat ten random ones, because they help each other rank.

  2. Build your first 10 tools Week 1–2

Use the five-step builder: choose, copy the prompt, ask your AI, paste the reply, publish. After a few tools, switch to Fast mode — most people get it under two minutes per tool.

    • One clear job per tool, named the way people search (“BMI calculator”).
    • Start from Ideas in your studio — they're sorted by search demand.
  3. Make every page pass the quality checks Week 2

In Grow → Quality & indexing, every tool is checked for a clear title and description, helpful text (350+ words), an FAQ, structured data, and no duplicated or stuffed wording. Pages that don't pass stay live but out of Google until fixed — one “Fix with AI” change usually does it.

  4. Claim your site, connect a domain, tell Google Week 2–3

Claim your site (free), then connect your own domain (Earn plan, about $10/year for the domain itself). In Google Search Console, verify your site and submit your sitemap — the studio walks you through it.

  5. Apply for AdSense Week 3+

Paste your publisher ID in Earn — we add the AdSense code and ads.txt to every page. Google reviews your site for original, useful content, clear navigation, and About, Contact and Privacy pages (made for you). Review can take days to a few weeks; if you're turned down, fix what they name and apply again.

  6. Grow to your first $100 Month 2–6

New sites usually take weeks to months to get steady search traffic. Use that time well:

    • Add 2–3 tools a week on your topic.
    • Check views per tool in Grow and build more of what works.
    • Improve your best pages: better examples, more FAQ answers.
    • Share tools where people genuinely ask for them, and offer the embed code to bloggers.

The rules that protect your earnings

AdSense closes accounts that break its policies, and earnings in a closed account aren't paid. The big ones:

Never click your own adsor ask anyone else to. Google detects it.
No paid or fake trafficTraffic exchanges and bots get accounts banned.
No copied contentEvery page should be your own, genuinely useful tool.
No misleading claimsBe clear about what a tool does — and add a disclaimer for health or money results.

Questions

How long until I earn $100?

It depends on your topic, how many good tools you build and how quickly Google sends visitors. For many new sites it's months, not weeks, and some never get there. The plan above is how you give yourself the best chance.

Do I need my own domain?

For AdSense, yes: Google approves sites on their own domain, and that's where your ads.txt file lives. You can build and publish everything for free first, and add a domain when you're ready.

How does AdSense pay me?

Earnings build up in your AdSense account. Google asks you to verify your address and tax details along the way, and pays out monthly once your balance reaches $100.

Can I use affiliate links as well?

Yes. Each tool can show one recommended link — for example a savings account under a savings calculator. We mark it as sponsored and add a disclosure for you.

Is any of this guaranteed?

No. clickto gives you the tools and the checklist; results depend on your tools, your topic and search engines. We'll always show you real numbers from your own site rather than promises.
